Procedure Crossroads was a nuclear check collection for the Bikini Atoll, and also the inspiration to the naming of two French swimsuit styles at some time, including the bikini. In May 1946, Parisian vogue designer Jacques Heim introduced a two-piece swimsuit style that he named the Atome ('Atom') and marketed as "the smallest swimsuit on earth".[
